Example of Pass along e-mail (viral marketing)

In the tourism industry, e-mail is a very common promotional channel. Definitely, e-mailing is one of the efficient and effective promotion way which can deliver the message to the selected segmentation. Moreover, it can reach a huge number of people by further referral .

Priceline - A US company which is selling travel products online since 1998. They aim to offer the lowest  price of travel products in the most convenient way. I am the regular customer of Priceline. I receive their promotion e-mail regularly although I did not officially register. Priceline is doing the viral marketing with their customer database. They wish e-mail receiver will click the link that leads to the specific landing page, and forward the e-mail to their friends at the same time. There is an example below:
